MUTE ist eine Peer-to-Peer-Tauschbörsensoftware, die versucht, die Identität der Benutzer (insbesondere die IP-Adressen) zu verschleiern.

* Komplett dezentralisiertes Netzwerk ohne jegliche zentrale (Index-)Server, Suche läuft durch kontrolliertes Fluten ab.
* Verwendung von indirekten Verbindungen: Anbieter und Empfänger einer Datei halten keine direkte Verbindung miteinander, sondern die Verbindung wird über mehrere Zwischenknoten aufgebaut, so dass weder der Empfänger weiß, von welchem Knoten er herunterlädt, noch der Sender, an wen er die Datei übermittelt. Jeder Knoten kennt nur die IP-Adressen einiger Nachbarknoten
* Verschlüsselung der Verbindungen zwischen Nachbarknoten im Netz (RSA, AES)
* Das Routing basiert auf einem Ameisenalgorithmus

da bin ich ja von den Socken.
Dachte Mute ist seit Jahren tot?

Hatte damit vor Jahren mal rumgemacht, es dann aber sein lassen aus vielen Gründen wie z.B. Performance usw.

Dann fällt mir noch auf... Mute ungleich Kommute?
Hat schon jemand mit Kommute Erfahrungen gemacht und kann mir vor allem mal den Unterschied zur früheren Version Mute was sagen?

#3 Kommute Gui interface wird in QT4 entwickelt nur mute core wird von Orginal Mute genutzt.

Also Kommute hat features das der Orginal Mute client nicht hat.
Also seit paar Wochen/Monaten gibt es jede menge improvments für Kommute.

Jason hat nicht mal Sortieren von columns integriert in sein Mute.
Mute wird schon mehr als 2 Jahren nicht mehr aktive weiter entwickelt, wenn dann nur kleine bug fixes.

Kommute wird mehr nutzer ansprechen als Orginal Mute client, momentan ist es noch nicht so bekannt.

Die meisten nutzen grad noch Mute 0.5.1 und mute mfc.

Also teste mal erst Mute 0.5.1 dann mal Kommute ...

I published kommute 0.19.

There has been much work done since the last publication. Some bugs have been fixed, new features have been added. My tests show excellent stability under linux. Under windows, stability seems better than in previous versions (4 days without crash), although I have seen some random crashes on receipt of responses to searches.
