i only wanted to call your attention, since you told me that you only stay at this 'viren, trojaner...' forum
i need your help, bitte

also i know that my problem is not with you, it is not of your speciality, but since you are an expert in many things, for sure you have a suggestion of whom may i ask for help, please show me the way to arrive closer to a solution

i hv problems with part of a software that was left behind after uninstalling; i installed a nokia soft connecting the cellular phone to the computer; then i uninstalled it by deleting all related folders i found; for sure this was a terrible mistake done by me, instead of properly uninstalling thru the normal windows add/remove tool, but now the wrong thing is already done and i hv to remove these remainings

first: i hv an icon which is the heart of the problem; my system is a xp pro and entering
start>my computer you hv 3 subfolders, the normal standard ones
>files stored in this computer: shared documents + my documents
>hard disk drives: local disk c
>devices with removable storage:floppy a + cd d

now i hv a 4th subfolder 'nokia phone browser' with its icon; and the additional problem is that it's said to be a 'system folder', perhaps it's a hidden folder that i don't know where to find to eventually delete it 'by force'

when i clic on this icon 'nokia phone browser', and on the other hand when i am going to change the site on the internet explorer, it always pops a 1st small dialog box saying

"windows installer
preparing to install"

imediately afterwards a 2nd small dialog box appears

"unhandled exception
error number: 0x80040706
description: object reference not set
setup will not terminate"

i guess someone of you hv faced sometime something like this and could help me solve my problem

#3 things are getting even worst!/as coisas estão ficando ainda pior!
i discovered now that i cant open 'control panel>add/remove', i cant access the list of installed programs
all other titles of the control panel open ok, i access all other but i click on 'add/remove' and nothing happens!
could this be related with the problem i reported up here?
may i have some virus/trojan/any malware doing this?

antivirus avg scanning twice found nothing at all
microsoft antispyware beta 1, also scanning twice nothing

adware lavasoft found 2 critical objects, 2 files identified, category: data miner
one is a cookie: "usernw@hitbox.com"
the other is also a cookie: "usernew@ehg-nokiafin.hitbox.com"
i quarantined and deleted both of them

this tells you something?
SEE THAT THE 2ND SAYS "NOKIA", and all my problem is with nokia softwares

please tell which software/tool could i download to scan my system, to discover if i got some malware

i need to do something quickly!

could it be that some software invaded my system and now does not let me see the add/remove section, putting me away of doing anything??
